Coach Longo has been part of the Wildcat baseball family since 2022.  He joined Coach O'Quinn's as an assistant working with hitters and catchers.  He was promoted to Head JV Coach during his first full season with the Wildcats.  Before his time with the Wildcats Coach Longo, coached at Jay HS (Jay, FL) as the Head JV Coach working with catchers and pitchers.

Coach Longo has dedicated the last 17 years to coaching baseball.  During that time he coached teams at numerous local rec. parks.  He has coached with many travel programs including West Florida Legends, West Florida Baseball Academy, East Coast Sox and Rawlings Tigers.

During his playing career he played at Escambia HS (Pensacola, FL) and a 3 year Letterman at Choctaw (Fort Walton Beach, FL) .  He was selected by the East-West Ambassdors to play internationally. 

Adam McDonough was brought into the program for the 2023-24 season at Washington.

McDonough is from Cincinnati, Ohio where he went to high school at Lakota East and captured multiple district titles for the Thunderhawks. He was signed to play the next level at The University of Akron.

Due to Title IX, McDonough had to change his sights and played his freshman year at Darton State College (Albany, Georgia) and his sophomore year at Southwest Tennessee CC (Memphis, Tennessee).

After a career ending injury, McDonough ventured into coaching. He had already been helping out with a travel team back home in Ohio. He coached the Cincinnati Flames for 10 years in total. He started his high school coaching career at Sneads High School under Head Coach Andy Shelton. Then moved onto Bradford High School with HC Caleb Polk. During this time, he would spend his summers coaching for Wow Factor Baseball based out of Tennessee.

Following his year at Bradford, he was brought on at Washington to join the staff under Justin O’Quinn. During this time he had also started coaching at West Florida Baseball Academy.

McDonough graduated from Troy University with a degree in Mathematics.

Coach Longo is a 2023 graduate of Booker T Washington.  He played his only season for the Wildcats finishing it with an invitation to the Pensacola Sports Association baseball All Star Game as one of the areas top Catchers.
